Leonard Mead is the father of four amazing children. He and his partner, Melissa, have unschooled them since they were old enough to know. Leonard is extremely proud that they are intelligent, open-minded, courageous, free-thinking and capable individuals. The family lives in New Zealand and this book was inspired by an exceptionally deep love of the sea which Leonard has shared and helped instill in the children at an early age in South Africa. The Dolphin Girl series was inspired by their sea adventures and particularly a conversation he had with his youngest, a girl, named…..Izarah.
