Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the rich history of Tirol by examining the archives of two neighboring Gemeinden, Galeenu and Galsaun. The medieval era comes alive through the exploration of previously unpublished documents, including records of property disputes, ecclesiastical appointments, and even accounts of hunting and fishing rights. These Gemeinden were subject to the authority of the Schlandersberg family, whose castle became a central hub of the region in the 14th century. Extensive correspondence during this period reveals how the noble family managed their estates, litigated legal matters, and maintained relationships with other powerful figures of the time. By tapping into such a wealth of primary sources, the author sheds light on the daily realities of medieval life in Tirol, providing valuable insights into the social, economic, and cultural dynamics that shaped this region centuries ago. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
