Etat : Very Good. 24 cards in a softcover book. These postcards reproduce a selection from the 42 hand-tinted plates that were included in Mrs. Loudon's "The Ladies' Flower Garden of Ornamental Greenhouse Plants" (1848), printed by Bradbury and Evans and published by William Smith, London. They are extremely fine examples of the type that enjoyed a vogue during the period, attempting to combine scientific accuracy with aesthetic appeal. The captions on the cards are based on those in the book. Cards are ready to mail on perforated edges. N° de réf. du vendeur 9529
