Burgundy Cloth boards with gilt blocked titles to spine and publisher's Dolphin device to front, 330 x245 mm approx. 290 pp.293 illustrations 18 in colour Per flap fold. First published in Great Britain in 1974 by Thames and Hudson, the copy offered is of the 1986 reprint from the library of the late Richard Lannoy painter, photographer and author which we acquired on it's disposal via an auction house. He was prone to inserting related newsprint and other printed material relating to the subject in his books. In this instance he pasted in a colour plate from the collection of the Kinsky Institute over two pages fortunately using a pritstick which has enabled it's removal with negligible damage. We have left a pencil note by Lannoy to the relevant page.Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition. very Good/ Very Good (Book- moderate shelf rubbing to bottom edge of boards - colour loss only, no notable soiling to cloth, no previous owner name. Penciil note and slight abrasion/paste residue to two pages not affecting text or illustrations as above. Dust Jacket- mild shelf rubbing - title to spine somewhat faded.
