As well as Wijayas own archive photographs, the book is illustrated with the work of internationally acclaimed specialist photographers Tim Street-Porter, Luca Invernizzi Tettoni, Guide Alberto Rossi and Rio Helmi, plus drawings by Chang Huai-Yan, Deni Chung and Bruce Granquist.

Made Wijaya (1953–2016) was a renowned landscape architect and a passionate advocate of Balinese culture. He wrote many books on Balinese architecture and costume as well as on tropical garden design.
