Iconic artist of the Dada movement, Man Ray began photography originally as a way to record his paintings, and it became an art form for him in its own right. These include portraits of many famous people of his time, including Erik Satie, Marcel Duchamp, Gertrude Stein, Andre Breton and others, along with nudes and his photos using light effects outside of the camera, rayographs, Cliche-verres and solarizations.
