Television astronomer David Ellyard has contributed a detailed explanatory text to accompany the charts, together with a general introduction to the study of the night sky. Charts of the whole sky - 24 in all - show what is visible early and late in each month. These are followed by details of each section of the sky, with particular attention to the constellations seen in the southern skies.
