The layout and pagination of the Old and New Testaments is identical but here the Bible text is enlarged and offers the additional benefit of wide margins for note-making. The Bible is printed on slightly thicker paper for enhanced durability, and (like all Cambridge Bibles) is sewn for increased longevity and also to enable the Bible to open and stay flat. This edition features red-letter text for the words of Christ, full cross-references, an extensive concordance, extra ruled pages for notes and 15 maps. Bound in supple black goatskin (real Morocco) leather, it has two ribbon markers, a presentation page and art-gilt (red-under-gold) page edges.

I appreciate the NAS and this wide-margin format is brilliant if you like making notes beside scripture texts as this format has generous space for your comments. The paper used is high quality but not so thin that the notes you add will show through to the other side. Other helpful features include cross-referenced verses, a concordance, red letters for the words of Jesus, a section of lined paper for additional notes and a high quality sewn binding which enables the Bible to open flat.
