As for me, I had taken the powdery packet out of doors, to give the Yodng I slanders the threshing they long ago deserved, when an enormous black spider, not thinking himself entitled to that discipline, issued, with all the speed of terror, from the dark interior of the scroll, and sought, what he conceived to be, the unappropriated and more tranquil retirement of my coat sleeve.
