The plan of the authors has been to include the following essentials: i. A brief study of some good method of teaching reading in the primary classes. 2. A brief survey of the most important elements in the mechanics of reading, including emphasis, phrasing or thought grouping, time, pitch, volume, and quality, 3. A rapid drill in pronunciation and enunciation. 4.
