Nadeije Laneyrie-Dagen is a senior lecturer at the prestigious Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and specializes in modern painting of the 14th-16th centuries. She is the author of L'Invention du corps : la représentation de l'homme du Moyen Age à la fin du XIXe siècle ('Invention the Body : the Representation of Man from the Middle Ages to the late 19th Century', 1998), and the editor of Le Métier d'artiste : peintres et sculpteurs depuis le Moyen Age ('The Artist's Profession : Painters and Sculptors since the Middle Ages', 1999).
