Alva Agee (1858-1943) was the American author of: Crops and Methods for Soil Improvement (1912), Right Use of Lime in Soil Improvement (1919) and First Steps in Farming (1923). He was head of the department of Agricultural Extension, acting Dean and Director of the School of Agriculture and Experiment Station of the Pennsylvania State College, and New Jersey State College of Agriculture and was later Secretary to the New Jersey State Department of Agriculture.
