She traces her childhood and early youth in Germany during the ascent of Hitler, her stressful adolescence in England, and her life and education as a post-high school graduate and adult in the US.After receiving her undergraduate degree her world expands in many surprising ways that lead her to a Ph.D. Her life as a research scientist includes her husband and ultimately three lively sons.
