Synopsis
At night the other side took over-killing and thirsting for human blood, a varmont. During the day she was herself--seventeen-year-old Maggie Beecher who could read people's thoughts upon skin contact. Each morning she'd awake to the splitting, screeching headaches that accompanied the visions, all of which where seen through the eyes of the enemy-the side that took over at night. It was her body, with a few modifications, which drank the blood and killed so many, but she was not mentally there, someone else was. At night she lusted for Ryan, her trainer whose job was to help her gain consciousness with her day form. During the day, she involved herself in the love-filled relationship with Austin. As a forbidden relationship advances between Ryan and her, so does their chances of being caught. Varmonts involvement in one another results in death. As trouble stirs the two are more closely watched, death looms in every touch of their lips and a choice must be made between the two men she loves.
