hardcover. Etat : Acceptable. Please see the condition note after this for details, if this is missing please consider Acceptable to mean poor quality that could include major staining, water damage, writing, missing dustjacket, etc etc. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only. Hardcover. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Fine. 1st Edition. The opening volume (but second published) volume of James Morris's trilogy about the Victorian Empire, Heaven's Command tells the story of the British Empire from Queen Victoria's accession in 1837 to her Diamond Jubilee in 1897. Both book and dust jacket are in fine condition. The red cloth-bound boards are even in colour with bright gilt lettering on the spine panel; no dents, scratches or bumps; all edges straight, all corners sharp. The text block is square and tightly bound; all edges are free of spotting or any other marks apart from a little shelf-wear at the forward end of the bottom edge. Internally the pages are spotless with no writing or inscriptions except for a previous re-sale price in pencil on the reverse side of the ffep. The colours of the dust jacket are strong and unfaded; there are no tears, chips, marks or unwanted creases and the publisher's original price (£4.95) is still in place. Remarkably well preserved for a book that is now nearly fifty years old. See five photos of this book and do ask for more if that would help. N° de réf. du vendeur 112
