Synopsis

At seventy, Abel Haggard is a hermit, resigned to memories of the family he has lost, living in isolation on his family's farm amid the encroaching suburban sprawl of Dallas. Stefan Merrill Block grew up in Plano, Texas, and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004. Block is twenty-five-years old. This is his first novel. He lives in Brooklyn.
