Pastor LaVelle Cook Reverend LaVelle A. Cook and her husband Bishop Gregory Cook (Pastor and Overseer) founded Miraculous Word & Deliverance Ministry International, November 2004. Rev. LaVelle A. Cook is currently under the Covering of Apostle Lilisa Mimms, of New Beginnings Christian Outreach Ministry. Pastor Cook was licensed, and later ordained in 2007, as an Associate Minister at Union Baptist Church, Harlem USA, under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Ollie B. Wells Sr. She is co-coordinator of “Preach the Word,” a Bronx-wide evangelistic effort spearheaded by Miraculous Word & Deliverance Ministry International. Pastor Cook is a medical administrator for a Mount Sinai Hospital cardiologist. She graduated with honors from The College of New Rochelle in May 2006 with a B.A. in Psychology, then graduated in May 2012 from Alliance Graduate School of Counseling with a M.A. in Mental Health/ Christian Counseling. She is the proud mother of 2 daughters Larelle, Gianna, and one son, Jordan, and grandmother of Demarius. Pastor Cook seeks to empower women of all ages, to strengthen their faith in order to believe they can receive all that GOD has for them. She is an author of the book, “Loving the Skin Your In (beauty inside and out)." She is now in the process of completing her next two books. She is also the CEO of Miraculous Makeover, a Christian image consulting company specializing in total beauty inside and out. She has appeared on NBC’s Today in New York morning show, and has been interviewed on Harlem Blog Talk Radio. Pastor Cook is the moderator on Sundays at 5:15am for Girlz at the Gate intercessory teleconference prayer ministry. In May 2013 she launched the New York/New Jersey chapter of A Lott of Sista Love; which is a non-profit women’s organization that helps to empower others to reach their God ordained purpose in the earth. Pastor LaVelle, as she is affectionately called, loves the LORD with all her heart. Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
