"Some Place Like Home" introduces the field of Design Psychology, the practice of architecture, planning and interior design in which psychology is the principal design tool. This 'must read' book continues to influence homeowners, home buyers, designers, teachers and students around the world who are seeking to create ideal, life-enhancing places. In-depth interviews with design superstars Michael Graves, Charles Jencks and Andres Duany illustrate how places remembered from the past contain the seeds of future home and design choices. The Design Psychology exercises used to delve into the 'environmental autobiographies' of Graves, Jencks and Duany can be used by readers to explore their own treasure chests of past places. "Some Place Like Home" is a book for anyone interested in creating authentic, nurturing places with meaning and soul. "Some Place Like Home" . .. is the bible of the field." - L.A.
