The premise of this book recognizes that there are a number of common medical conditions underlying the clinical presentation we label as autism. When these conditions, such as hidden food allergies, are identified and corrected, the autism symptoms improve. A unique, layman-friendly, Autism Symptoms Assessment Questionnaire is utilized to assess the more common of those conditions. As a guide to parental intervention, it typifies the thought processes a biomedical physician might go through in evaluating an autistic child. Based upon the scoring outcome of the questionnaire, step-by-step biomedical interventions, such as diet and nutritional supplements, are explained in detail.
