Synopsis
Ronald lived through homelessness and suffered tremendous abuse at the hand of his stepfather, in addition carried the burden of his brother being raped by another man in lieu of himself for decades. Despite growing up in a violent household with little or no food to eat, nor being able to relate to what a stable household should look like, in addition witnessing the fierce abuse of his stepfather toward his mother as well, fortunately grew up to move away from the mangled existence and created a successful path for himself. The family was dirt poor and many times lived in facilities without heat... Ronald recounts covering himself with thick velvet drapes to keep warm and often questioned God why do they have live like this. His story is riveting. The reader will laugh, shed a few tears, but ultimately be inspired and challenged to believe in the face of despair. You too can survive the PRIDE!
