He continued, “Go home and prepare a feast, holiday food, and drink; and share it with those who don’t have anything: This day is holy to God. Don’t feel bad. The joy of God is your strength!”

The experiences of anything or anyone new brings with it the good, bad, and ugly. As you accept this new thing, new day, or new way, check your focus. How long you feel sad or sorry for yourself is determined by your focus. To concentrate steadily on what’s wrong is to remain distracted. Directing your attention to what is good and right is to remember that you are precious in His sight, and this too will pass. Go ahead and process what you’re feeling, then escape into the presence of God. In return, receive joy; His joy will be your strength.

Power Prayer
God, fix my eyes on what is right in all that is wrong. I am yours and you know all too well everything that I am experiencing. My feelings are real. Help me to live out my life in your strength by staying plugged into you. So Be It!
