Shadows, the obstruction of light, bringing darkness. But it can be something much more than that, something that can watch you, something that can get into your mind, something that can cause body freezing fear, something that can be even worse than death. Terry Walker was a police officer returning to work after suspension due to depression from the death of his wife. Coming back was something he didn’t know if he wanted to do, especially considering the place he and his partner Nick were investigating was the same location where his wife had died, but still it was something he had to do.That or end his own life.****Now out of sight from the security shack she took the car out of gear, tears of frustration, anger, and fear running down her cheeks as she covered her face with her hands. Not wanting to be seen in this state, especially by a security guard, she took a quick survey of the surrounding area, but other than the possible small creatures living in the empty fields to her right and left there was no one to be seen. Taking a second-deep breath Laura reached for the shift lever but catching a shadow of movement just outside her driver’s side window her hand bypassed the stick, instinctively darting towards her gun.Her driver side window exploded inwards before she could reach it.
