Synopsis

BLEED is a poetry anthology filled with poems that express deep pain, hurt, and trauma. The content of this collection confronts some of the most traumatic experiences related to childhood, relationships, and mental health. The 18 poets included in BLEED were students in a workshop offered by Poetix University, where they were prompted to confront their deepest fears, pain, and trauma in several unique writing assignments. These poets dissected their internal trauma, from the people who hurt them to the experiences that shaped years of pain. In this confrontation of self, they were able to navigate their thoughts and feelings to ‘bleed’ out their traumas in their poetry and, most importantly, begin to heal from those experiences. These words were released for their healing, but through this anthology these poems can be therapy for you and your own personal traumas.
