This is a special Collector's Edition thread-book collection. It was excerpted from the 8-book series (mainly from 3-book Lost Oracle sub-series) detailing the flow of ɑwareness through numerous lives, following a character whose accidental contribution might have otherwise been obscured. In doing so, it creates a story of its own while detailing the Scout Report Universe...&...something unimaginable. Check out links for books, short stories, and more at: linktr.ee/samuelroseauthor. Also on Twitter @SamRoseAuthor. (Note that proceeds from sales will fund an elegant and gorgeous hardcover, limited-print signed and numbered, future Collector's Edition of SORYANA'S SPEAR.)
Planet Irth is dying—her soul is slowly being murdered. She cries out & wheels are put in motion. She also makes one last attempt to defend herself from The Builders, by co-opting four hue-men to be her spear: The Deadly Caretakers.
The Builders--a great space-faring species of huge, discarnate beings--are the apex predators of their universe. Far from the Cosmic Navel, they have settled into the pandimensional core of Planet Irth, consuming her soul. These fantastic beings have a library of information representing genetic templates for billions of physical species.
The name this planetary soul uses to refer to herself amongst incarnates is, "Soryana." She cried out in pain while she still could. She still has one card left to play, one desperate gambit.
The deities are a race of discarnate beings created by The Builders to "cultivate" life on the planetary skin. They created the planetary biosphere to transmute Sol's energy into high-energy awareness, which is their food.
There are problems that limit even The Builders' fantastic giga-anna lives: a phenomenon they call ϣeakness, plus basic entropy. One of their deities develops a project to help them plus [hopefully] lengthen his own survival. He would grow eight hue-men souls for The Builders to then balloon-animal twist into a living tesseract, called a "star-sail being." The nature of the eight souls in question would permit the resultant chimeric soul to travel pandimensionally using Dark Energy to seek out the source of both weakness and entropy, collecting information. The Builders would use that information to reverse-engineer a localized protective field around themselves. Though their mind-fields are billions of times larger than that of a hue-man, they may have failed to fully appreciate something unimaginable put in motion when Soryana cried out.
Meet:
• Rose Samuel: author. She wrote the books as part of her own machinations, using a male pseudonym to help get three of them published in her universe.
• Grey Wolf: a being who entered their universe through the Cosmic Navel to eventually arrive and incarnate many times on Irth.
• Charlie McIntosh: warrior and loving family man, tasked with protecting their settlement after the Great Collapse.
• Our Mother: ancient being, hue-menoid, traveling to Irth to recover the ɑwareness of a child she had been growing on Tartarus--until that primal soul rocketed off to follow Grey Wolf.
• Kick Martin: sorcerer. Unwittingly living inside Lord Ishtar's protective bubble.
• Soaring Raven: a Piceance sin eater, able to remember events from, "the time that never was," tasked with caring for his tribe's soul.
• Rivka dea: a womb-man seeking her true identity, a pawn of the deities, until something unimaginable happens--the Vortex.
