In the story, Lumen seeks help from the Dream Weaver, a mysterious old lady who specializes in both sleep science and sorcery. "The mind is like a spider web. Memories and dreams cling to its strands. While some fall out over time, others are more stubborn," says the Dream Weaver as she attempts to extract the nightmare with the help of her glowing staff. Unfortunately nightmares and bad thoughts are hard to remove completely, and Lumen must learn to see them in a different way.

Joel Riley is a children's book author and illustrator. He lives in California with his wife and two daughters. Joel loves telling his daughters bedtime stories, which served as inspiration for his debut book, The Dream Weaver.
