Synopsis

It is said that America is the land of opportunity—especially for immigrants who may find new life options here that are not available in their home countries. However, immigrants can have a difficult time achieving their dreams in the USA due to language, educational and cultural barriers.

After escaping the political and socio-economic situation in her original country, Angola, Africa, Selma—an immigrant and single mom in tow with her three young children—made her way to America and within one year successfully secured work at a commercial bank, and in less than five years started her own business.

How did she do it? In this practical and inspiring book, Selma shares her story of overcoming the odds against her, of the winning mindset she adopted and the specific strategies she used to achieve her goals in a short period of time. Through her amazing testimony, you’ll discover what it takes to conquer challenges in a foreign land—to not just survive, but thrive.

Achieving the American dream—especially as an immigrant—is not easy. But, Selma is living proof that it is possible! All your dreams are within reach if you work hard and are determined and believe in yourself. Read Selma’s story and see how you can build a new life you love in the USA.
