Synopsis
The aim of this book is to cover the mechanical science requirements of technicians and trainee engineers up to first year HNC/HND and degree level. It will also be useful for the final years of BTEC National Certificate courses in engineering, the first years of BTEC Higher National Certificate and Diploma courses in engineering and for GCE 'A' level students embarking on HND and degree courses at polytechnics or universities. The text is illustrated with numerous worked examples in order that students can use the book as the basis of a self-study programme. Practical activity is emphasized and the book focuses on the application of theory to real-life situations to enable students to fully understand the workings of the subject.
