À propos de la quatrième de couverture

What is the greatest gift you can give your child? Vibrant good health, of course. But in a world where children as young as ten are being diagnosed with early signs of heart disease, where up to a third of youngsters at an infants' school may be taking Ritalin, a drug that has been banned in Sweden, and where a computer, not a dog is a child's best friend, how do you get it right?

In WHAT REALLY WORKS FOR KIDS, Susan Clark, award-winning Sunday Times journalist and one of Britain's leading natural health writers, draws upon years of experience and the very latest scientific research to offer every parent the opportunity to make sound, confident decisions that will benefit their children's health now and in the future.

Here, as she highlights the the health hazards that plagaue so many youngsters today and unravels the complex and often contradictory information that appears in the media, Susan offers invaluable advice and information on:

the use of vitamins, herbs and homeopathic treatments that

can really make a difference to a child's health

hands-on therapies, such as infant massage and hand

reflexology

the fascinating key stages of development, from newborn

to young adulthood

how to treat over fify everyday childhood complaints

a range of relaxing and quick-fix treats to help busy

mums and dads cope with those particularly stressful days

Practical and comprehensive - WHAT REALLY WORKS FOR KIDS is the ultimate alternative health guide for parents everywhere - and one of the most valuable books they will ever own.
