Many years ago I heard the old cliché, "The only thing we can be assured of in this life are death and taxes". With this bit of wisdom, I decided to become a tax consultant. If for no other reason, it appeared to offer steady employment.I have been doing taxes for over 40 years and it seems when April 15th of each year passes, I know less about tax returns today than when I first started. Taxes are a very important part of our everyday life and to have good financial planning, some understanding of taxes is imperative.

Carey Erichson has been a practicing tax accountant for over 40 years and has owned and operated at least 20 businesses including restaurants, retail shops, construction, publishing and manufacturing. As you read this book, you will notice that his well-rounded business knowledge and experience has been captured in writing. There is a lot to read between the lines.
