Dr. Ute S. Lahaie has been president-elect of the South Central Association for Language Learning Technology (SOCALLT) for the 2001-2003 term and SOCALLT secretary for the 1999-2001 term. Dr. Karima Benremouga has been appointed as SOCALLT secretary in 2001, and Dr. Patricia Pierce is a new member of the organization.
