Ronald Ritter was born in Pottstown, PA, in 1954. He was raised in Boyertown, PA and graduated from Boyertown Area High School in 1972. He prepared himself for a lifetime of work with children, by entering Kutztown State College. He received a B.S. in Elementary Education, as well as became certified to teach the blind and visually impaired. He graduated in 1976. Other than brief periods of time spent teaching in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, most of his career has been spent travelling the rural roads of upstate NY, being an itinerant teacher of the blind and visually impaired. He currently resides in Oneonta, NY, with his wife and two cats.
