Rita Kramer's previous books include Maria Montessori: A Biography and Flames in the Field: The Story of Four SOE Agents in Occupied France. She has written for the New York Times Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Partisan Review, Commentary and many other publications in the U.S. and abroad. Her short fiction has appeared in Story Quarterly and other literary reviews.
