It addresses the contemporary issue of the determination of the status of combatant for the detainees in Guantanamo Bay and the coming Iraqi Special Tribunal to try Saddam Hussein and former members of the Iraqi regime. As such, it makes for a much needed contemporary reading of the laws of armed conflicts and an excellent document to base one's understanding of current events and the laws applicable.
Biographie de l'auteur :
A former lecturer at the Royal Military College of Canada where he taught The Laws of Armed Conflicts, the author has served in Bosnia-Herzegovina as a civil-military relations officer before retiring from the Army after sustaining injuries while deployed overseas. He currently lives and lectures in Budapest, Hungary.
