She has written for the Wall Street Journal, the Christian Science Monitor, Town & Country, Vogue, and Vanity Fair, among other publications. In 1987, her series about myalgic encephalomyelitis, a.k.a., "CFS", for Rolling Stone was nominated for a National Magazine Award.
