Dorothea Boyd Wolfe (nee Goodrich) was born in Albany, New York and grew up in Watervliet near the Schuyler Flats.While a student in Watervliet High School, she was honored for her article on the U.S. Constitution in a contest sponsored by the newspapers. She also had a number of poems published, some of which were included in the Annual Anthology of Verse. While attending the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, she worked on the College paper and annual, Arch.After her marriage to the Rev. James H. Boyd of Ohio, she began writing in earnest. Leading Christian magazines and papers published a large number of her stories and articles. Christian Life magazine awarded her a ?Blue Ribbon? for her story Mama and Mr. Moody.Dorothea has completed a number of writing courses and is presently a member of the Christian Writers Guild. She became the mother of five children, two of whom entered full-time Christian ministries. After the death of her husband Jim, she married Dr. Raymond Wolfe. They reside in Akron, Ohio.
