Two soldiers manned each gun. Biographie de l'auteur

Born in Colorado, Robert Slane enlisted as a private in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1941. He flew a Flying Fortress in Europe during World War II. A former B-47 and B-52 aircraft commander and base commander, he retired in 1974 after thirty-three years of active military service.
