Words From Within is a collection of poetry-simple verse and some prose-written over a period of forty years. Jay Downs began writing poetry at the University of Arkansas and continued through the years, inspired by marriage and children and church. After teaching mathematics in Maryland, he retired and now helps manage his daughter?s Virginia antique mall?The Appomattox Gallery?while his wife Jeanie hosts the Tea Room.
