Synopsis

Visions of a Mormon Depressive tells the true story of one man's battle with severe depression, of looming suicide, and of a family nearly destroyed. His relentless journey to find a cure explores modern science, motivational psychology, and the divine-human connection with spiritual origins. Many unique experiences combine to reveal the ultimate source of genuine healing, happiness and wholeness. "Within all difficulty lies the dormant opportunity for us to become intimately acquainted with God, our immortal Predecessor. Trials and suffering, including mental and emotional distress, are God's sacred trust for His beloved children. In difficulty we are given the opportunity to exercise our souls, often to the very extremes of our ability to survive. When we come to the conclusion that we cannot prevail on our own, that He is the final way, then we tap into the greatest of all powers to improve our lives. God trusts that, within difficulty, we will use abundant resources to change and overcome, to improve and grow, to discover the Divine within us and to accelerate our transformation to wholeness" Dr. Savage
