Hazel Patrick Conley grew up in Kentucky and graduated from Morehead State College with BA degree in education. She moved to New Jersey and taught school for more than forty years in the primary grades. During her teaching career in Evesham Township, she wrote poems for assembly programs, special events, holidays, and special school programs. Hazel created and recited her poems to honor retirees in the school system. Her poetry also has a personal aspect since many are about her family members and the events from their lives. Hazel?s title, Rhymes With Reasons, embodies all of the poems she has included in this book because they represent the people she has lived with or worked with and the events she has lived through.
