The "Old Doctor", John Churchill Gordon, delightfully tells stories of growing up on a plantation in Virginia before the Civil War. Biographie de l'auteur

Edward Stuart Gordon was born at Brandy Station in Culpeper, Virginia in 1908 and died at home in Rural Hall, North Carolina on July 4, 2000. He attended Virginia Military Institute and flew combat planes in World War II. He was ninety when he began writing this book.
