It was just another day for Perley the Church Mouse. He'd been playing grape soccer with his friends and he came inside for a nice snack of his Grand Mouse's sunflower seed cookies. On his way to the kitchen he heard his church folks talking. He stopped in his tracks when he heard what they were saying; they were talking about closing the church forever! They said there weren't enough church folks or money to take care of the church and no one seemed to care about the church anymore. Perley knew he and his family had to do something FAST or they'd have to find a new church. He sat down at his desk, chewed a nice sharp point on his best green pencil and began to write "Dear Church Folks "

Perley Nathaniel Church Mouse lives with his family at a lovely old church in South Bridgton, Maine. When he?s not writing stories for his ?church folks?, he enjoys playing grape soccer and mouse tag with his friends Timothy and Sebastian. Perley also enjoys school and recently won the Squire Perley History Prize. Since he has little use for money, Perley is donating the profits from his book to help restore the church steeple.
