Roger Huff was born and raised in Quincy, IL. He began writing after careers as a naval oceanographer, marine meteorologist, and information technology group manager. Besides doing feature articles for a number of national magazines, his other books include: Captain Bucko?s Nauti-Words Handbook, Captain Bucko?s Water & Weather Handbook, and Captain Bucko?s Galley Slave Cookbook.
