Biographie de l'auteur

I was born and raised in Ghana, a country in West Africa. In 2005 I moved to the United States with my mother. Ever since I was little I have had a great passion for writing which led me to really enjoy and excel in every English class I have ever taken. I wrote short stories for fun when I was younger. During the fall of my sophomore in high school my English 10 Honors teacher encouraged me to submit to our school's literary magazine, Syzygy. When I informed my mother, she further encouraged me to use my inspiration for my submission to write a book instead. As a person who loves learning about different cultures, I love to read fictional books that are set in various countries all over the world. I realized that African fictional books were not very popular in America and therefore drew on that inspiration to write five short stories compiled as "Bound by Kente". I love to work with children and plan to use earnings from my book to help children in need all over the world particularly those in Asia and Africa.
