He pulls together the threads connecting him to the Indians whose unseen culture surrounded him as a child, their great spiritual and political leaders Smohalla and Chief Joseph, and the missionaries who came west in the 1800s to bring them the white man's religion.

Bob Myers grew up in southeastern Washington State near the Hanford A-bomb plant where his father worked. His professional training is as a computer scientist, focusing on how computers relate to our language and our culture. Bob currently resides in West Hollywood, California, where he writes and studies.
