This book is a collection of hard to find essays by some of the most eminent and influential Sherlockians of the last seventy years. All contributors are members of both Hugo's Companions and The Hounds of the Baskerville (sic), Chicago's two oldest scion societies of The Baker Street Irregulars. Tracts by classic scholars Vincent Starrett, Jay Finley Christ, Matthew Fairlie, Robert J. Mangler and Bob Hahn (among others) are brought together with those of more recent commentators in a mix of scholarship, commentary, and light hearted wit. A valuable and important addition to any Sherlockian library.

Biographie de l'auteur
David C. Humphrey has been interested in Sherlock Holmes since childhood. He is a member of Hugo?s Companions, The Hounds of the Baskerville (sic), The Sherlock Holmes Society of London, The Criterion Bar Association and The Scotland Yarders. He lives near Chicago with his wife Ruth and son Jay.
