Biographie de l'auteur

Charles Risher was born in Linton, Indiana. His father was a coal miner and an alcoholic. His mother was half American Indian. He enlisted in the Navy, and was stationed in Australia, New Guinea, and the Philippines during World War II. When he returned home he lived in Chicago, Albuquerque, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Steamboat Springs before taking the trip he documents in The Miracle Trip.
