Social and political issues of the Korean War period impact everyone affected by the uranium discovery and many lives are changed forever. The story of Milo Harris, a black cowboy, and his love affair with a white businesswoman explores racial bias of the pre-Rosa Parks era. You may have been born too late remember the days before color television, computers and cell phones but there was a rich culture and technology that foreshadowed the rapid progress of the latter half of the century.

Biographie de l'auteur

Malcolm Crawford is a retired mining engineer living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Graduating in 1958 from Stanford University in his native state of California, Crawford?s first job was working in the uranium fields of Wyoming where he saw most of the events and encountered many of the characters found in the fictionalized historical novel, Sheila?s Tree. Most of Crawford?s career was devoted to the management of irrigation districts and municipal water districts in the northwest and California.Crawford is a life-long outdoorsman and conservationist. He has climbed Mount Shasta in Northern California, hunted and fished throughout Alaska and the western states and pursued his hobby of bird watching around the world. He married a Spanish girl, Londa Iriarte, in Casablanca, Morocco and raised a family of four children. The Crawfords recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on a cruise of the western Caribbean with all of their children and grandchildren in attendance.
