Synopsis

The story of the millennium.

A New Age thriller which answers the most ancient spiritual riddles-and exposes a coverup that goes far beyond the DaVinci Code.

When Adam Zakar, securities broker at a multinational brokerage house, enters into a strangely-profitable real estate transaction, he doesn't know that his new property is part of a drug cartel's ambitious development plans-or that the property contains a mysterious treasure of incalculable value.

But the building is already occupied-by a group of spiritual seekers who display strange and unusual abilities. They initiate Zakar into a community whose citizens include strange myriad life forms scattered across a billion galaxies. And they teach him to sing the ancient Song of the Universe, whose subtle verses had once been mastered by the original residents of Eden as a way to unify their spirits with the unimaginable Awareness of the Cosmos.

As he moves ever closer to the truth at the heart of the major religious tra-ditions, Zakar discovers something of more immediate concern: that his death is being orchestrated by the human race's unseen overlords-the ancient spiritual enemies whom scripture calls demons.

Présentation de l'éditeur

I felt rather than saw the Thing-Which-Watched-It-All-From-The-Inside Out, the Mind-Which-Was-Composed-Of-All-Holy-Spirit, the Awareness which exulted when the hawk found the mouse in its talons and which also bled from the mouse's wounds. It was life and death, triumph and tragedy, it was both sides of the ledger in every transaction, and it extended out into a distance and beyond that distance to all the places where my mind was not prepared to follow. And yet I could sense its own pulse of awareness, and where I had expected a ponderous gravity and arrogant majesty that would make me feel as if I were nothing and less than nothing, it was instead quick and insightful, and I thought I detected amusement as it watched through me my own awareness of its presence. It experienced with me the recognition that it was participating in my astonishment and awe, and through me it shared this wonderful delicacy of experience that traveled in endless circles and made my mind spin. Out of that spinning, I landed gently on a realization. This, thinking purely with the spirit, is the real, original, true goal of meditation. This is something the human species has temporarily forgotten, and now it must relearn.
