Synopsis
Using glowing, hypnotic images and a funny, provocative text, the author relives his father's most amazing Christmas. "Red Ranger from Mars" Breathed, while on a visit to his aunt on an island, discovers a hermit named Saunder Clos who is rumored to be the actual Santa Claus. Though not believing in Santa himself, Red decides to investigate - and to ask the legendary figure for a Red Ranger bicycle. Berkeley Breathed is a cartoonist, novelist, director, and screenwriter, best known for the popular comic strip "Bloom County." He has written and/or illustrated many books for young readers, including Red Ranger Came Calling, The Last Basselope, Goodnight Opus, and A Wish for Wings That Worked.
