Zaki Huq has worked in the human services profession for over thirty years. In the United Kingdom, he worked for one of Europe's largest advocacy groups for seniors, Age Concern, as well as for Adult Probation Services. As a Service Development Officer he designed and implemented organizational change for increased service accessibility and integration into ethnic communities. Across the United States, he has worked with a variety of governmental and non-profit organizations serving homeless families, gang youth, and individuals with disabilities, including Juvenile Detention and Probation Services, Child Protective Services, the YMCA, and Tribal Governments. Throughout his career, Mr. Huq has been respected for his skill in frontline service delivery as well as preventative program design and management, both in urban and rural environments. He has a sustained commitment to increased understanding and collaboration between diverse socio-economic and cultural groups. Living and travelling extensively in various parts of the world has given him a global perspective on communication and how it influences individuals and society.
